FAQs

I don’t see the exact address anywhere…?

Because ChaseMindBody is a private residential studio, the exact address will be sent to you once your booking is in place, as a safety measure. But in anticipation of your booking, we can share that the studio is on Park Place between Underhill and Washington Avenues in Prospect Heights. It’s worth noting that there are two sweet kitties that share the same address - they aren’t allowed into the studio space, and the air filter controls any dander, but if you are particularly allergic to cats it might be helpful to take an antihistamine before you arrive!

What other safety protocols are in place?

Regarding pathogen transmission, like Covid-19, flu or other common bugs, private bodywork is as safe as this type of service gets. There is never more than one guest at a time in the studio and surrounding space, and the room is well-ventilated after each session. The studio also has an air filter and is thoroughly cleaned with a CDC approved disinfectant between each session. Masking is currently optional, but if you would like to wear a mask, feel free. Likewise, if you’d like us to wear a mask, just say so and we’ll be happy to comply.

Do you offer pre- and post-natal massage?

Yes! We love working with people during all phases of the childbearing cycle, from helping to prep the body for conception by boosting circulation to catering to pregnant and nursing bodies. Tara specializes in peri-natal massage and understands all of the unique needs and challenges posed by a peri-natal body. We understand that it can be difficult for a nursing parent to separate from a new baby, even if their body is in need of massage, and we are happy to have your baby along for your service if that is helpful.

Do you offer couples massage?

We can not currently serve couples concurrently, but we can do back-to-back bookings for anyone who would like to relax with a partner.

Do you do home visits?

Yes! The pricing structure and scheduling options are not available on this site, please contact tara@chasemindbody.com with inquiries.

What if I’m looking for a specific time but don’t see it offered on the calendar?

Send an email to Tara@chasemindbody.com and let us know that you weren’t able to find a time that suits your needs. It may be possible to find a time that works for everyone.

Sam and Tara Chase

Tara is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of the Swedish Institute College of Health Science. She began her practice with a deep focus on how massage can impact the pregnant body and childbearing cycle and was certified for pre/postnatal massage with home birth midwife and educator Susanrachel Condon. She has also completed continuing education in osteopathic deep tissue and myofascial techniques, and brings a blend of approaches to each session in order to address injury treatment and prevention, postural deviation, acute and chronic pain management and other aspects of mental and physical wellbeing. Tara has a compassionate and intuitive approach to bodywork and an affinity for science and research. She believes that massage can be a powerful tool in supporting each individual’s relationship to their own healing and wellness. Away from the studio, you can find Tara chasing after her own young children and fostering community support for area families, because it truly does take a village.
